The Mountaineers will be heading down to sunny South Florida for the 2012 Discover Orange Bowl. They will be facing the ACC Champions, Clemson.
For the next month, we have basically decided to create an open thread/blog with different information regarding the trip to the Orange Bowl. We will list all the information from travel, hotels, tickets and things to do.
We want everyone to be apart of this, since we know many of the Mountaineer faithful will be down there. Feel free to send us all your information and suggestions and help make this the best trip for every Mountaineer fan!
The game will take place January 4th, 2012 at 8PM at Sun Life Stadium.

To get tickets through the University – WVUGame.com – $99 dollars each.
Tickets sales continue online at WVUGAME.com and by calling the Mountaineer Ticket Office at 1-800-WVU-GAME.
In all, WVU has 17,500 tickets to sell. WVU will have to pay for whatever tickets are not sold.
To get student tickets – A limited number of lower level tickets for WVU students will be available at the Mountaineer Ticket Office in the WVU Coliseum on Monday, Dec. 5 and will be priced at $110 each. Student tickets must be purchased in person with a valid WVU ID and sales are limited to two tickets per valid student ID.

Hotels – Take your pick. Miami and Fort Lauderdale is overdeveloped and you will have no trouble finding a hotel for the week of the game. You have plenty of options. You can stay in the Miami area, Fort Lauderdale area or even a little further north. Definitely make sure your travel is figured out, before you worry about where you are going to stay.

Travel
Travel – As of right now, most flights are anywhere between $150-$350, depending on where you are flying from and into. My advice is to fly to Fort Lauderdale, as it is a little cheaper. This also depends on whether you plan on staying in the Fort Lauderdale or Miami are, though. These numbers are all give/take and change by the day. Just an estimate of what you’re looking at this week.

Stadium – Sun Life Stadium is 18 miles SW of Fort Lauderdale. Sun Life Stadium is 16 miles NW of Miami. The capacity is a little over 75,000 people.
