In 2016, legendary West Virginia festival venue Marvin’s Mountaintop was revived with three days of music spanning nu-grass, funk, country, blues, and more. Breathtaking performances by Greensky Bluegrass, Blackberry Smoke, Leftover Salmon, and David Grisman Sextet were set against the backdrop of The Cheat River flowing thru Masontown WV. Beautiful mountains with TONS of outdoor activities and a family-friendly atmosphere in the Appalachian hills set the tone for impromptu performances such as a surprise Jamey Johnson / Alison Krauss duet.
In 2017, Deep Roots Mountain Revival is coming back even stronger—bringing you more of the music and art you love, all just a short walk away from your campsite. Bringing world-class musicians together with regional Appalachian artists, musicians, and vendors, DRMR 2017 will be the mirror to the culture one can only find nestled deep in the mountains of West Virginia.
