This is legit Indian food. The spiciness level at the buffett is just right for me, which is probably weak compared to other Indians/Indian-Americans. I’ve been there 2x, once for dinner on a Wed night: ordered 1 vegetarian Thali and 1 meat Thali, both at medium spice level. If you can’t get there for buffet, this deal is the closest thing to getting to try a bunch of different dishes, includes a drink and a dessert. Also, be adventurous and try a “poori” instead of naan. Another time, we tried the Thursday night dinner buffett: about 3-4 vegetarian dishes, 3 chicken dishes, 2 desserts. This is a great deal if you can fill up and finish multiple plates, which I cannot do, unfortunately.
If you’re comparing thali to buffett, thali wins for me because I can take leftovers home, BUT if you return to the buffett line multiple times and want multiple desserts, then the buffett wins hands down for value and variety, but then you have to finish it in 1 sitting.
