According to the Princeton Review, we\u2019re #18 for marijuana use among students. And according to the Daily Beast, Morgantown is #17 of \u201cAmerica\u2019s 40 Most Pot-Loving Communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To put these rankings to the test, the WVU chapter of Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) is participating in the Just Say Now: Campus Challenge, a nationwide project with the goal of amplifying the voices and opinions of everyone\u2019s favorite demographic; college students. We are collecting signatures for a massive petition in support of marijuana legalization and we\u2019re competing against college campuses all over the country to see who can collect the most.<\/p>\n<p>Winning is a pastime here at WVU and of course we love to outdo other schools, whether we\u2019re playing football or gathering legalization signatures. But what\u2019s even more important than wiping the floor with these other schools, is that the amount of signatures we get will help give us a better idea of the political climate here in Morgantown and in West Virginia. Maybe it <em>is<\/em> time to legalize, and maybe everyone else thinks so too. Let\u2019s find out.<\/p>\n<p>Over 400 (and counting) Mountaineers support legalizing marijuana.
