The West Virginia Legislature\u2019s Joint Committee on Health<\/strong><\/a> has been
\nstudying the medical marijuana issue over the last few months, and the
\ncommittee will hold its first public discussion of the bill at its meeting Wednesday, November 20<\/strong><\/a>. It\u2019s possible they will make
\nimportant decisions that will affect the future of patients who could benefit
\nfrom a medical marijuana law.<\/p>\n

Please contact your
\nrepresentatives in Charleston today and urge them to support this sensible and
\ncompassionate reform!<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n

If you have a compelling personal story you would like to
\nshare with the committee members next week, please send it to me as soon as
\npossible at msimon@mpp.org<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nhas once again strongly stated its support with a November 4 editorial calling medical
\nmarijuana \u201chumane,\u201d<\/strong><\/a> and <\/strong>even
\nthe conservative-leaning Dominion Post<\/em>
\ntook a strong position in favor of medical marijuana October 11. With support from
\nthese major newspapers and the general public, the time is now for legislators
\nto take action on behalf of patients who are suffering without safe, legal
\naccess to medical marijuana.<\/p>\n
