Norman Jordan of Ansted, WV is one of the leading African-American poets of West Virginia, and is notoriously known through out the Appalachia area. He founded the AAAHA Camp to pass along his knowledge and expierences with music, poetry, and other art aspects. For 35 years the AAAHA camp, a non profit organization, has produced world known artist as Jamal milner who has played with BB King, Dave Mathews, and other musicians. Each summer the camp is held at WVU, where the kids stay at towers, and attend class at the Creative Arts Center and my NRCCE. The week long camp takes about $20,000 to run the thing on fumes, we are trying to raise more $ to better the camp experience. The camp week is ended with a showcase featuring all of the kids who attended, doing various performances.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
